BBA//Fjeldco acted as legal advisor to Skyggnir Eignarhaldsfélag hf. in connection with the sale of all shares in Ofar hf. to Nova Klúbburinn hf. Ofar hf. is one of Iceland’s leading IT service and technical equipment companies. We provided Skyggnir with comprehensive legal advice throughout the transaction, including in relation to the preparation, drafting, and execution of the acquisition agreement. The agreement was signed in February 2026, and the sale forms part of the continued development and restructuring of Skyggnir’s investment portfolio.

BBA//Fjeldco advised the shareholders of Arnarland ehf. in connection with the sale of the company to the real estate developer ÞG Verk.

Arnarland ehf. was a joint venture owned by Arion banki hf. (through its subsidiary Landey ehf.) and a real estate development company affiliated with Ósar, the parent company of Icepharma hf. and Parlogis ehf. The company owns the land Arnarland and the right to develop a 10-hectare residential wellness community on Arnarland, one of the last large undeveloped land in the capital area, located between the municipalities of Garðabær and Kópavogur.

BBA//Fjeldco has served as legal advisor to Arnarland ehf. since the project's inception, including negotiating the partnership agreement with Garðabær municipality in 2021 and providing ongoing advisory services throughout the development phase. BBA//Fjeldco managed the transaction process, including structuring, drafting and negotiating transaction documents, and handling the closing and settlement of the transaction. The firm also served as escrow agent for both the buyer and the sellers.

AI research and deployment company GreenFish has completed its first funding round. The company develops artificial intelligence models that provide companies in the fishing industry with up to ten-day forecast on the location of fish, as well as assessments of the quantity, quality, and composition of catches. GreenFish has various awards under its belt, most notably the Icelandic Fisheries Awards last year and the Seafood Innovation Award in Norway this year. The funding enables the company to strengthen the development of GreenFish solutions, as well as boost sales and marketing efforts in foreign markets.
